How You'll Make an Impact
As a Process Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting our manufacturing operation through equipment setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and process improvement activities. Working with automated molding equipment and production technologies, you'll help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing while contributing to the success of our medical device production environment.
The Process Technician is responsible for setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing molding equipment while providing technical support for daily production operations.
In This Role, You Will:
- Set up, operate, and maintain molding equipment, including small injection molding presses and larger commercial presses ranging from 20 – 250 tons. This includes BOY, ENGEL, MATSUDA, and SODIK presses.
- Troubleshoot processing, equipment, and automation issues to support production goals.
- Disassemble, clean, assemble, and maintain material handling equipment and cold runner systems.
- Support automated cutting, punching, inspection, and part-handling equipment.
- Perform equipment changeovers and replace mold components as needed.
- Diagnose and repair material delivery systems and related production equipment.
- Provide technical support to production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Maintain and troubleshoot vision inspection camera systems.
- Maintain inventory levels of disposable materials using the Kanban system.
- Assist in labeling, handling, and preparing hazardous waste for disposal in accordance with procedures.
- Follow all safety requirements for handling solvents and production materials.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
- Support Safety, Quality, Productivity, Utilization, Scrap, and Efficiency objectives.
- Promote and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within a medical device and clean room environment.
- Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Observe and promote company standards related to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, process technician, machine setup, maintenance, molding, automation, or related technical roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment with a stable employment history.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with production equipment.
- Basic understanding of preventive maintenance concepts and 5S principles.
- Ability to read, follow, and accurately complete production and maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with common hand tools, including wrenches, Allen keys, screwdrivers, ratchets, and sockets.

- Experience performing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or automation-related repairs.
- Medical device manufacturing and/or clean room experience.

- Ability to receive and provide instructions in a constructive and professional manner.

The employee will constantly be exposed to working near moving mechanical parts with frequent risk of electrical shock.
- The employee will occasionally be subject to, working in high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions, but rarely (if ever) be exposed to extreme cold or heat (non-weather) or wet/humid non weather conditions, travel on company business.
- The noise level is considered moderate (normal shop conditions).
- The employee will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as: safety glasses in the designated areas, hairnet/beard cover and jumpsuit when on the production floor, gloves when handling hot objects or solvents, earplugs when required and steel toed shoes (preferred).
- This physical demand level for this job is considered medium with frequently lifting 10-25 pounds. Exposure to lifting more than 100 pounds is rare (if ever).
- During maintenance work, employee will frequently be exposed to sustained bending, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl, reach above shoulders and repetitive bending or squatting with constant exposure to dynamic standing/walking and using hands to finer/handle or touch.
- The employee will occasionally be exposed to static standing/walking, pushing/pulling (15lbs), floor to knuckle lift/lower (40lbs), knuckle to shoulder lift/lower (75lbs), shoulder to overhead lift/lower (15lbs) or climb/balance (on ladder).
- The employee will rarely (if ever) be exposed to using foot/feet to operate machine.
