What Will Be Your Environment:

The Franklin, WI location is about 15 miles south of Milwaukee, and has about 350 employees. As part of the Advanced Materials division, this site manufactures medical devices such as silicone tubes used in surgeries. Many of our team members operate in a cleanroom environment to maintain safety regulations of these products. 

 

What You'll Do:

The Process Technician is primarily responsible to fabricate, commission, implement, troubleshoot and perform repair work on automated production equipment in a timely manner.  Both mechanical and electrical skills are needed.  The position is primarily focused on new process development

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Setup, commission and determine operating parameters for new purchased equipment
  • Assemble, wire and debug new automation equipment.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair automated equipment.
  • Identify, procure and maintain critical spare parts inventory.
  • Train manufacturing support technicians in basic troubleshooting and maintenance of automated equipment.
  • Report status of repair jobs promptly to Supervisor.
  • Understand and follow the SOP’s pertaining to the specific area.
  • Understand and follow the Work Instructions pertaining to the specific area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Successful completion of four-years of high school, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of two years of college or graduation from a two-year technical college with an associate’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Pneumatics Technology, is a plus.
  • 1+ years of experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Experience with blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience building and commissioning automated systems (preferred).
  • Good understanding of pneumatic and electric control circuit design, installation and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent skills in implementing effective preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Technical ability to read and interpret hydraulic prints and electrical schematics, and firm grasp of electrical and hydraulic codes.

 

Physical Demands:

This physical demand level for this job is considered medium with frequently lifting 10-25 pounds. Exposure to lifting more than 50 pounds is rare (if ever).
