Plant Maintenance Electrician 

The Plant Maintenance Electrician - Multi-Craft person will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the maintenance and repair of existing and/ or installation of electrical/mechanical systems and equipment.  Will be expected to keep up to date with the latest electrical/HVAC technology and trade methods while demonstrating quality workmanship.
•    Maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including controls and components. Rebuild all machine accessories, pumps, motors, drive systems, etc.
•    Perform routine service, repairs, calibration, replacement and installation work on electrical and mechanical systems/components proximity switches, micro switches, relays, timers, etc. Also include calibration and testing upon completion of overhaul.
•    Perform maintenance activities, adjustments, component replacement, equipment installation, etc. on the following equipment: vessels, piping, pumps, fans, compressors, valves, conveyors, & all facility mechanical systems including inspection, repair, and lubrication of all manufacturing and facility equipment following a plant-wide preventive maintenance program. 
•    If applicable, provide maintenance for plumbing and HVAC equipment as required
•    Work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, P&IDs, PFDs, instrument loop and electrical interconnect drawings, instrumentation specification sheets, work order plans, and manufacturer's information.
•    Perform and assist others in the performance of troubleshooting and analysis tasks.
•    Perform and document system inspections, tests and calibrations by various means and utilize inspection findings to determine repair requirements.
•    Work closely with all roles within the plant as needed.
•    Document work performed; participate in workflow improvements.
•    Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work areas in the shop and field.
•    Interface with computer and manual documentation systems.
•    Participate in project teams, incident investigations, and plant/area audit teams.


Skills, Qualifications, Experience:
•    High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited school.
•    Trade school or equivalent apprenticeship program certification.
•    Minimum three years of electrician experience in the industrial electrical field.
•    Excellent mechanical aptitude.
•    Strong understanding and application of NEC.
•    Skilled in all types of conduit layout, bending, and installation.
•    Solid computer skills.
•    Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
•    Knowledge of troubleshooting control circuits.
•    Strong leadership qualities.
•    Ability to work in a team-based environment.
•    Proven ability to progress and learn in the electrical and HVAC trade.


Considered a Plus:
•    Experience in trouble shooting and repair of single and 3-phase equipment.
•    Experience working as a journeyman or journeyman certification.
•    Knowledge in hazardous location and intrinsically safe wiring methods.
•    Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of VFD’s and PLC’s.
•    Certification in Refrigeration & A/C troubleshooting and repair (or working towards certification.
•    Technical school diploma and/or 3 - 5 years industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience with a high school education or equivalent.
•    Demonstrate a high attention to detail.
•    Work effectively with minimal supervision in a collaborative, innovative environment.
•    Utilizes effective oral and written communication.
•    Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook); SAP knowledge a plus
•    Working knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and rebuilding of
o    Gearbox agitators and compressors
o    Conveyors
o    Centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
o    Vacuum pumps 
o    Alignment of rotating equipment
o    Process and utility piping
