What You'll Do:
The US Supply Chain Planner manages production planning and scheduling activities across the Americas, ensuring efficient restocking and order fulfillment for warehouse locations. Acting as the primary liaison between production, operations, logistics, labs, and suppliers, this role is crucial to Lubrizol’s Americas Logistics organization. The Scheduler collaborates closely with customer experience and inventory teams to guarantee timely shipments and high customer satisfaction. This position offers broad exposure to Lubrizol’s products, customers, and supply chain, providing opportunities for professional growth and increased organizational value.
What We're Looking For:
- Plan and schedule production activities to meet internal and external demand using SAP
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and intermediates to targeted coverage goals
- Order, replenish, and transfer raw materials as needed for production and warehouse locations
- Coordinate with production, warehousing, logistics, customer service, and suppliers to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Expedite orders and troubleshoot planning issues as priorities dictate
- Communicate schedule changes and inventory status to relevant stakeholders
- Complete month-end inventory reconciliations and support transportation planning for facilities
- Review and process stock transfers between plants, and respond to customer and internal requests
- Attend production and shutdown meetings, and provide advice to supply chain management
- Assist with standardization and setup of new systems or facilities as required
- Provide backup support to other planners and perform other duties as assigned
Skills That Make a Difference:
- At least 5 years of professional supply chain experience, including production scheduling, inventory planning/management, and working with MRP/ERP systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and functions
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities to manage multiple complex tasks efficiently
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills, including investigating issues, summarizing findings, and offering creative solutions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Reliable attendance record
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience with SAP S4/HANA (preferred)
- Experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response (preferred)
