How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Maintenance Millwright, you will be a core member of the rotating equipment maintenance team and provide first-line mechanical support to Production. You will support multiple production units by operating, maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding critical rotating equipment while upholding Lubrizol’s safety, reliability, and operational excellence standards. In this role, you will:
- Repair and perform equipment upgrades on ANSI, API, Viking pumps, and blowers up to 36”
- Support rotating equipment including large gearboxes, agitators, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, blowers, vacuum pumps, conveyors, dryers, compressors, and centrifuges
- Rebuild SealPacs and repair Lightning agitators
- Perform bearing fit checks, measure runouts, and verify TIR
- Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges, and indicators
- Cut gaskets and shims and use appropriate hand and shop tools for assigned tasks
- Read and interpret IOMs, drawings, and blueprints to perform teardown and rebuilds
- Install, inspect, repair, and complete PMs on rotating equipment
- Use SAP to document work orders, alignment records, completion codes, and maintenance data
- Purchase parts through Stores and complete computer-based training and required documentation
- Operate and inspect mobile equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, carts, and JLG boom lifts
- Be trained to safely operate a carry deck crane (or equivalent)
- Perform maintenance duties in both the field and the pump shop
- Respond to maintenance callouts as required
- Foster a safety-first culture by making safety observations and correcting unsafe behaviors
- Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments
- Comply with all Lubrizol Safe Work Practices, procedures, and policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications That Enable Your Success
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Millwright in an industrial or chemical manufacturing environment
- Experience with installing, repairing, maintaining and performing Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) on any and all pumps, gearboxes, agitators, compressors, blowers, centrifuges, and conveyors
- Strong mechanical aptitude with rotating equipment
- Ability to read, understand, and apply IOMs and blueprints
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and shop tools
- Working knowledge of SAP or ability to learn and apply system usage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through
- Ability to manage multiple tasks to achieve overall maintenance objectives
- Willingness to complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
Preferred Qualifications That Drive You Forward
- NCCER Certification
- Working knowledge of milling machines, lathes, and balancing equipment
- SAP experience
- Microsoft Office proficiency
