Maintenance Analyzer Technician

We currently have a challenging and rewarding position for Maintenance Analyzer Technician in the Deer Park, TX Maintenance Department.

 Duties/Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, repair, calibration, preventative maintenance, and installation of all analyzers used for safety and shutdown control, personnel monitoring, environmental monitoring, product quality, and process efficiency on a variety of analytical equipment.
  • Takes ownership of assigned field area problems and sees them to completion.
  • Reads and interprets P&IDs and wiring schematics.
  • Uses trend data and other analyzers to determine root cause of abnormal readings.
  • Takes initiative to contact outside resources and tech support.
  • Plans and lays out work from available drawings, loop sheets, and databases.
  • Maintains maintenance and calibration records on all analyzers.
  • Maintains and manages analyzer spare parts inventory, including cylinder gas storage rack.
  • Supports and provides data logs, maintenance records, and reports, as necessary to HS&E Department.
  • Develops, improves, and implements analyzer preventative maintenance plans.
  • Minimize the downtime for all installed analyzers by the timely implementation of planned maintenance procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and modify unit analyzers.
  • Program various process analyzers systems.
  • Test analyzers ensuring accuracy of operation and checks all test instrumentation against recognized standards.
  • Calibration of analyzers and maintain records on analyzer testing, calibration, and installation.
  • Maintain and repair all process analyzers as used for safety and shutdown control, personnel monitoring, environmental monitoring, product quality, and process efficiency.

 

Skills, Qualification, Experience 

  • Minimum of 5 years as an Analyzer Technician
  • High school diploma required
  • CEMS
  • HRVOC
  • Oxygen
  • Gas Chromatograph
  • pH meters on various brands of equipment
  • Familiarity of TCEQ and EPA guidelines for CEMS and HRVOC requirements.

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and performing a variety of physical activities while working at various heights.
