Role Summary:

  • Support LDAR Subject Matter Expert in the LDAR program field activities.
  • Coordinate day to day activities with the LDAR contractor.
  • Ensure all LDAR monitoring is conducted as required.
  • Track LDAR monitoring frequencies for compliance with Federal, State, and NSR permit requirements.
  • Track Out of Service equipment.
  • QAQC LDAR contractor monitoring activities
  • Supports Operations and Maintenance with timely LDAR repairs and assists the LDAR contractor with the Directed Maintenance process
  • Provide field support for leak evaluations in the unit.
  • Manages preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment used for leak detection
  • Verify documentation is completed properly and maintained to prove LDAR compliance.
  • Provide support for waste/water team tasks as needed.
  • Attend PSSRs for environmental as requested.
  • Perform environmental sampling:
    • OEL Surveys
    • Cooling Tower (Modified El Paso Method)
    • Carbon Canister
    • Method 21 Inspections
    • Physical Inspections

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

  • High School graduate from an accredited school or equivalent GED.
  • At least three years of experience applying Method 21 using hydrocarbon FID and/or PID analyzers
  • Good understanding of LDAR regulations.
  • At least one year of experience leading LDAR projects or tracking site activities for LDAR compliance.
  • Knowledge of process equipment (i.e., exchanger, vessel, pump, compressor, valve, etc.) and how they function.
  • At least three years of experience working in a chemical manufacturing plant.
  • At least one year using LDAR Fugitive Emissions monitoring software
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in the field in a safe manner both independently and around others by following all required procedures.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Reliable and willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Experience in reading P&IDs and field interpretation.
  • Ability to plan/schedule the work for the day to accomplish multiple tasks.

Considered a Plus:

  • Familiarity with PHX-42, PHX-21, and TVA hydrocarbon analyzers
  • LeakDAS or Skybridge software
  • OGI Certification
  • Associate technical degree or equivalent experience/education.
  • Solid understanding of chemistry and chemical hazards.
