Lubrizol’s Human Resources (HR) division includes over 100 employees that provide HR expertise to maximize the contributions of Lubrizol’s people.  Currently, we are engaged in a multi-year HR Transformation project.  The HR Transformation project will enable changes to the HR division’s structure, work processes and technology on a global, regional and country level and provide the foundation to achieve world-class HR performance. 


The Global Compensation manager provides general oversight and direction regarding the implementation of Lubrizol’s compensation philosophy and strategy, coordinates job/position structures, the salary administration process and variable compensation.

Provides strategic guidance regarding global equity and competitive global pay and ensures regulatory compliance relating to compensation.



Role Responsibilities


  • Establishes and manages the full range of employee compensation, both company and country required (e.g., fixed and variable compensation).
  • Provides strategic guidance and support to Business and Function leaders for annual and long-term compensation planning.
  • Manages and coordinates global compensation processes and systems (eg.: annual salary planning, incentive compensation and related systems and processes).
  • Validates / approves new or significantly changed Lubrizol positions (e.g., title, grade, level, pricing).
  • Monitors and improves compensation plans' effectiveness and costs.
  • Oversees compensation systems administration and develops the deployment plan, material and communications for the annual compensation processes and new or changed programs.
  • Communicates and assists executive with compensation management, programs and processes.



Skills, Qualifications and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of HR experience.
  • 3+ years in a Compensation COE or HR Shared Services environment.
  • Experience with Compensation Survey Methodology and Participation.
  • Experience with Global Companies/Structures.



Considered a Plus


  • Professional compensation certification(s).
  • Experience with HR systems (SAP-HCM, Success Factors), Compensation Systems and Applications.
