Summary of Responsibilities
The Inside Account Manager is responsible for the growth, maintenance, rationalization, and direct support of assigned Medical Device Contract Manufacturing Accounts while providing some field sales support.
Essential Job Functions
- Grow, maintain, or rationalize business at assigned accounts by determining customer’s needs and fit with Lubrizol Life Science Contract Manufacturing business objectives.
- Support growth initiatives for the business and the introduction of new capabilities.
- Function as a liaison between internal departments, including engineering, operations, and customer service to maintain existing business, enable new business opportunities and address customer concerns.
- Provide support to field sales team by assisting with sample requests, customer surveys, and other activities as assigned by the Senior Global Sales Manager.
- Monitor and provide updates to forecasts via the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process for assigned accounts
- Collect and communicate competitive intelligence
- Submit and manage NDAs with assigned customers using Lubrizol’s corporate NDA process
- Support customer communication development for operational customer notices
- Submit quote requests using Lubrizol’s CRM system and position quotes with assigned customers to win new opportunities.
- Communicate price changes to assigned customers
- Participate in team meetings and strategic planning activities to establish and achieve long and short-term business objectives.
- Adhere to and promote compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures.
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience interacting and selling to customers while assisting a sales team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic presentation skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
- General office skills including but not limited to planning, prioritizing tasks, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task with minimal supervision #LI-HD1
