How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Project Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in driving top-priority innovation projects within Lubrizol Performance Coatings, enabling sustainable growth and successful commercialization.
In This Role You Will:
- Lead cross-functional, matrix project teams accountable for innovation project results and adherence to Performance Coatings work processes.
- Define expected business outcomes for each project, including value proposition, risk/return, and marketing plans covering positioning, placement, pricing, and promotion.
- Plan, budget, execute, and document strategic innovation projects, ensuring scope, schedule, quality, and cost objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain strong project operating mechanisms, tools, and processes to improve execution effectiveness.
- Create project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans to manage uncertainty and strategic change.
- Evaluate and communicate risk and reward trade-offs impacting project objectives and deliverables.
- Negotiate with resource managers and resolve resource constraints through independent decision-making.
- Provide regular, clear communication to business and technical leadership on project status, milestones, schedules, and budgets.
- Strengthen project management capability within Performance Coatings through coaching and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Bachelor of Science preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading large, complex projects, preferably from innovation through commercialization.
- At least 5 years of experience working within a global matrix organization.
- Strong foundational knowledge of project management principles.
- Proficiency with project management software, such as Microsoft Project.
- Outstanding organizational, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Change management mindset with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
