Lubrizol is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Global Future Mobility. In this remote role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the long-term market strategy for your assigned market(s) globally. Operating in time horizon of 2 to 10 years (possibly beyond), you will own the Global Marketing Planning Process, which encompasses:
- Development of value propositions, segmentation, pricing strategy and value chain analysis
- Identification of geographical and segment participation strategies and channel strategies
- Analysis of Lubrizol’s competitive strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats
- Assessment of internal and external commercial & technical collaboration opportunities
- Anticipation of market/customer needs and determining, in collaboration with Lubrizol’s technology groups, new and improved product offerings and business models
As a Senior Manager of Global Future Mobility, you will play a critical role in shaping Lubrizol’s future, as you will set mid-to-long term strategies for specific markets globally and inform the company on market trends to align activities on product development, margin management and pipeline innovation to ensure LZ’s sustainable success.
Responsibilities:
MARKETING PLANNING
Develop, communicate, maintain and implementation of comprehensive global marketing plan, and associated economic models, for his/her market.
INNOVATION PIPELINE
Work in close partnership with:
- R&D to prioritize and justify innovation projects based on financial projections and strategic fit.
- Commercial Team to develop and maintain a robust front-end innovation pipeline based on end-users and customers’ needs and establish pricing strategy. Ensure business cases are scalable, defendable, and sustainable.
SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE
You should be considered as the subject matter expert for your market. You will constantly scan the environment, analyzing industry trends and assessing business impact, analyzing competitions and threats, and identifying innovation opportunities for market positioning of products and go-to-market strategies.
RECOMMENDATIONS, COMMUNICATION & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
Frequently communicate with the Lubrizol business and executive teams for business recommendations to generate maximum return on investment, and for updates on market information, value chain analysis, potential market opportunities, and risks.
INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT
Keep a high level of engagement with key customers, industry players, and relevant policy and standards influencers.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in science, engineering, business, economics, or related area, MBA is a plus.
- A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience
- Experience in 1 or more functions: strategy, equity analyst, marketing, product management, engineering, business development, new product development/launch
- Participated in 1 or more industries: consulting, private equity, automotive, new energy vehicles or related supply chain, energy storage, petroleum or petrochemicals, specialty chemicals
- Experience building Marketing/Business Plan in B2B environment
- Ability to quantify and analyze market trends & needs, key players & competitions, addressable market size, value propositions, pricing strategy
- Understand how to develop market insights for targeted market segment and be able to translate them into definable business opportunities and action plans
- Creative thinking, evaluating problems from multiple angles and seek supporting facts to support theories and hypotheses
- Strategic mindset with ability to execute and deliver
- Financial acumen and numerical analytical abilities
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage and prioritize tasks/projects; independent and self-driven
- Excellent team player with leadership skills:
- Demonstrated track record of influencing and leading teams through thought leadership
- Bringing people of diverse functions, culture, and geography together to achieve target output
- Quick learner with excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills:
- Ability to self-learn new markets, players, technologies, applications
- Develop compelling presentation based on facts and figures
- Ability to develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders, leadership, customers
