What You'll Do:

• Develop and execute sourcing plans for the assigned raw material portfolio, including contract negotiations, managing supplier relations, database management, and market analyses.
• Create and maintain solid and reliable sourcing strategies, ensuring competitive advantages for Lubrizol in the long term.
• Demonstrate an understanding of supply chain economics to enhance our competitive position in the market.
• Stay up-to-date with upstream markets, leveraging your insights to bring value and opportunities to the company.
• Drive cost-savings/avoidance projects in line with regional procurement objectives and implement innovative solutions to improve supplier quality, safety, delivery, pricing, and lead-times.
• Continuously evaluate supplier performance and understand their strengths and weaknesses to influence the market.
• Maintain alignment with global and regional procurement projects, priorities, and deliverables to ensure seamless coordination.
• Assure security of supply and represent Lubrizol in a professional, legal, and ethical manner, maintaining the integrity and reputation of the brand.
• Chair programs to support various reporting requirements such as procurement, finance, accountancy auditing, and compliance.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Procurement, supply chain, logistics, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or other technical field.
• At least five years of experience in a similar role, if in the chemical industry even better
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems (SAP and BW or Business Objects knowledge or equivalent).

Skills That Make a Difference:

• Excellent understanding of negotiation strategy and sourcing/purchasing methods.
• Excellent networking skills and the ability to influence others.
• Track record of driving continuous improvements in procurement operations.
• Experience in maintaining purchasing records in SAP or other electronic forms.
