The Chemtool EMEA Customer Service Representative role is responsible for the daily transport ordering, inventory management and all customer service tasks related to the order to cash process for the EMEA region.

This role is acting as the interface between internal operations (Production Planning, Compliance, Logistics), Customer Assistance, Commercial Division, Customers, Logistics vendors (third party warehouse and transport services) and others where applicable for Chemtool.


Key Accountabilities 

1)    Daily planning, organisation & communication of transport orders towards selected vendor for all transport modes using ERP and other tools.

2)    Daily monitoring and follow up on all freight orders with the selected vendors, loading locations and customers but at the same time remaining in constant contact with/updating CSR’s, Planners or any other Chemtool internal contacts.

3)    PO cost creation, accrual and invoice control in alignment with the agreed tariffs with the various vendors and approve invoices.

4)    Issuing of relevant documents to facilitate the physical transportation of goods: Transport orders, shipping invoice, other required documents upon request.

5)    Inventory management of the Chemtool stock based on historical sales and forecast.

6)    Key Performance Indicator monitoring and handling through:
-    Creation, handling and follow up on SCAR’s (= Vendor Corrective Action Request) with selected vendors when and where required.
-    Transport complaint receipt, follow up and resolution in cooperation with Customer Assistance and any other relevant internal/external vendor.
7)    First line of contact with the account manager, Planner & Procurement department for any immediate issues or (special) requests.

8)    Contribute to the ‘out of the box thinking’ in looking for better transportation solutions to facilitate customers (price, quality, performance).

9)    To adhere and promote compliance with company HS&E policies, practices and procedures.


Required Expertise / Knowledge / Skills

•    Bachelor in Logistics or equivalent working experience of minimum 2 years
•    Knowledge of Hazardous Goods transportation terms and regulations
•    English written and verbal fluency and any other European language
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Knowledge of SAP is an asset
•    Computer literate (Xls, Word, PowerPoint a.o.)

•    Able to work both independantly in a team with a ‘do what you say, say what you do’ mentality
