What You'll Do:

As a Trade Compliance Senior Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, accountable for maintaining our right to operate by ensuring compliance with trade regulations and deploying trade programs that maintain or improve our competitive advantage. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. The Senior Analyst works closely with internal parties including trade compliance, master data center of excellence, other supply chain departments, Information Technology, as well as external parties including customs agencies, auditors, and service providers. This role reports to the Regional Trade Compliance manager but may have responsibilities as a global process lead.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Act as regulatory lead for multiple countries or the region. Review & interpret new regulations & implement a course of action to ensure compliance.
  • Identify and resolve trade issues and implement process solutions for major events and changes (Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), system changes, partner changes, etc.)
  • Act as lead for internal or external audits including coordinating with internal parties and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assess the need for new and changing Free Trade agreements and implement in Global Trade Services (GTS) as needed.
  • Analyze supply and demand planning data to forecast and identify duty savings opportunities based on existing or emerging trade programs. Support long-term impact assessment of special customs procedures (Duty drawback, suspension, bonded warehouses, etc.)
  • Manage the SAP system controls and implement new controls in SAP where needed.

Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics/Supply Chain, or other related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, supply chain, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing external audits.
  • Ability to solve unique trade requirements by combining import and export regulatory. knowledge and Lubrizol network knowledge.
  • Proven experience with performing an impact assessment.
  • Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, global perspective, ability to lead decisively.
  • Thorough knowledge of free trade regulations, Lubrizol preference systems, and business needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of existing and emerging trade programs.
  • Strong knowledge of GTS controls and systems and import and export regulations.

Considered a Plus:

  • Customs Broker License
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
  • APICS CPIM certification or equivalent.
