Lubrizol is currently seeking a strategic Senior Human Resources Manager to join our team.  This role is accountable for strategic counsel and advice to the VP of Global Supply Chain and their leadership team, in addition to supporting operations associates at our Brecksville site.


Essential Functions:

  • Build and sustain trusted advisor / business partner relationships with assigned business / function senior leadership teams 
  • Act as change agent, strategic advisor, and collaborator with senior leaders to influence and shape culture, business plans, vision, mission, priorities and human capital strategies 
  • Partner with senior leaders to create and deliver strategic talent plans by leveraging HR expertise, client group knowledge and engaging resources from the broader HR enterprise, including: 
  • Identifying business drivers that may require org development / change, and planning / executing organizational change initiatives 
  • Completing business unit workforce environment analysis, short- / long- term workforce requirements aligned to business priorities, and partnering with COE / business unit leaders to develop workforce strategy 
  • Establishing high-level talent acquisition needs and providing input on talent acquisition strategy 
  • Analyzing talent-related trends and metrics to identify issues / opportunities and develop solutions 
  • Developing / delivering key culture, inclusion, and other strategic HR messages / plans 
  • Represent the needs of business / function within the broader HR enterprise by highlighting competitive landscape, business / function objectives and strategies to help shape HR solutions and offerings, including: 
  • Identifying business unit learning needs and planning / implementing business unit-wide learning initiatives 
  • Providing input to benefit / compensation program design 
  • Sharing feedback with COEs on effectiveness, communications, and deployment strategy of any programs / initiatives 
  • Engaging with and providing guidance to Region HR Directors for execution of business/function strategy and priorities 
  • Lead and / or contribute to HR projects, annual goals and other strategic initiatives 
  • Work with business / function leaders to champion HR, the HR Operating Model, and COE programs; elimination of non-value added complexity 
  • Align business HR team's goals to business goals, track & monitor progress 
  • Lead and role model a OneHR mindset
  • Champion and drive IDE across the customer base
  • Optimization of labor costs, turnover 
  • Translate customer needs into HR strategy formulation 



  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or related field or equivalent professional experience within an international organization 
  • Minimum of 7 years human resources experience with at least 3 years of generalist experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Experience working closely with HR leaders to establish strategy, program, tools, policies, and processes 
  • Experience acting as a change agent, strategic advisor, and collaborator with senior leaders to champion HR standards and influence/shape business plans, vision, mission, and priorities
