The Senior Manager, Regional Supply Chain LSS/LEM North America is a key leadership position reporting to the Senior Director, LSS/LEM Global Supply Chain.  This position is responsible for the operational supply chain that supports the region, including short term Production Planning (0-3 months) and Customer Experience functions and all responsibilities within.

 

This position is accountable for delivering supply chain performance for Lubrizol Advanced Materials (LSS/LEM) North America, and organization development of operational supply chain teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Manage the operational level supply chain performance such as:
    • Customer Service related metrics: on time delivery as requested, customer complaints
    • Working capital related metrics: inventory, non-working slow moving material, scheduling compliance.
    • Cost related metrics: airfreight expense, detention/demurrage, scrap expense.
  • Manage the daily supply chain operating process such as short-term production planning and scheduling, shipment coordination, order fulfillment (OTC), problem solving.
  • Be part of the Advanced Materials global supply chain team to implement supply chain strategies for Advanced Materials North America, aligning with global supply chain strategies for Advanced Materials businesses.
  • Take initiative in continuous improvement of supply chain processes & system such as business processes, procedures, data management to contribute to Operations and LSS/LEM business objectives.
  • Manage the interface with all relevant stakeholders such as commercial team, long term demand and supply planning teams, product management teams, and other functional teams to solve issues effectively.
  • Lead and develop the Advanced Materials North America supply chain team for performance management and capability development.
  • Participate in the S&OP/IBP process by connecting Sales and Operations Execution topics and issues to the discussion and decision-making process within IBP.

 

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics. MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Supply Chain (experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning in an environment of both manufactured and sourced finished goods highly preferred).
  • APICS Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in MRP and ERP systems inventory control, materials requirements planning, item master, demand planning, and advanced supply chain planning and analytics preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in lean principles/methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills, including multi-tasking and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, follow up and attention to details. Adaptable to multiple requests, daily changes and still deliver on commitments.
  • Data-driven with demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to work independently while still functioning well in a team environment.
  • Able to communicate effectively with senior management, peers, and colleagues cross-functionally teams around the world.
  • People management experience including strong interpersonal and leadership skills: meeting facilitation, skill sharing and training, organization, conflict management, change agent, manage relationships.
