Job Title: Associate Product Manager, Performance Coatings

Location: Brecksville, OH
The Performance Coatings Group (PCG) at Lubrizol is looking for an analytical and resourceful Associate Product Manager to join our Product Management team. In this role, you will support product managers through data analysis to deliver and implement solutions for alternative raw materials based on the risk profiles you develop. You will be the project owner for the entire change management process for new sources or raw materials, including testing, regulatory checks, approvals, and product implementation. Ultimately, you will provide product managers with information and recommendations on products, striving to reduce our overall risk profile and to drive approvals for alternatively sourced new raw materials and finished goods.
What You Will Do:
Tactical Support: Provide tactical support and analysis to product managers, assisting in developing business cases and overall impact of new or secondary raw material sources.
Product Costing Analysis: Conduct routine product costing analysis for global product managers.
Risk Management: Develop and maintain a risk profile for all single or sole-sourced raw materials, prioritizing them by potential business impact.
Project Coordination: Schedule, prioritize, and manage approval meetings for new raw materials through lab, pilot, and commercial scale-up stages.
Collaboration: Partner with relevant functions (procurement, third-party manufacturers, supply chain, etc) as needed to identify, approve, and implement secondary sources of key raw materials, managing the entire approval process with formulations and customers.
Change Management: Manage raw material changeovers due to supplier outages or obsolescence.
Regulatory Compliance: Work with product stewards and Product Safety & Compliance Department to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (FDA, TSCA, REACH, etc.).
Bill of Materials (BOM) Execution: Implement changes in SAP BOMs to reflect alternative formulations with secondary or new raw material sources.
Complexity Reduction: Lead dashboard development for complexity reduction activities and ensure execution of OBS (Obsolete) status in master data (SAP).
What You Need
Experience: Minimum 3 years of combined experience in manufacturing, procurement, finance, data analysis, cost accounting or other relevant professional experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, chemistry, or engineering. MBA preferred, not required.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of enterprise operating systems like SAP, Vendavo, BOBJ, Excel, and statistical analysis. Database Management is a plus.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements and terms. Accounting or supply chain experience is a plus.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and team facilitation skills.
Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and team environment.
