Lubrizol has a great opportunity to join one of our most fascinating business segments. As Regional Sales Manager, Lubrizol Engineering Polymers, you will lead the regional sales and new business development team responsible for Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (TPU) in North America.  The Sales Manager coaches and develops their team to exceed stretch goals, drives short & mid-term sales and margin growth, nurtures customer relationships, and implements best practices to meet the needs of our customers and business. This role can be based out of our corporate headquarters in Brecksville, OH. 



This role will drive strong short & mid-term sales and margin growth by:


  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of account managers.
  • Ensuring superior customer service and best-in-class fulfillment of customers’ needs
  • Setting clear performance objectives and driving a culture of feedback and accountability.
  • Building sustainable and collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
  • Fostering a solutions-based, value selling approach.
  • Working with segment managers to identify business opportunities and align resources to win at an above market rate.
  • Understanding market trends, customers’ strategies, and competitive landscape.
  • Developing and executing a channel strategy which manages complexity and delivers above average growth.
  • Leveraging and enhancing tools (CRM, account plans) and processes (forecasting, pricing, sales funnel) to drive commercial and operational efficiencies.


What you need:

  • Persistent, motivated, and positive mindset.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a people leadership role.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of professional sales experience, preferably in the engineered polymers, elastomers or thermoplastic space.
  • Willing and able to travel 50% of the time.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly build technical background in the relevant markets.
  • Proven successes implementing new product, solution, technology and/or value selling programs.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and develop relationships with internal partners including customer service, supply chain, product management and demand management.
