Lubrizol is currently seeking a data minded and forward thinking individual to join our Information Solutions team. The Director, Intelligent Data Management is accountable for enabling business growth and efficiencies by maximizing the value of data.  This will require data to be managed as a corporate asset, that enables innovation, promotes a data-centric work culture, and creates value through the execution of data-driven initiatives across the enterprise. This role is also responsible for developing a long-term data strategy aligned with business outcomes and ensuring that organizational structures and skills are developed across the company. This position location is flexible throughout the United States. 


Role Responsibilities:

  • Embed a data-driven decision culture into the company.
  • Envision, lead, and define best in class data management and analytics for the total enterprise including coordination with senior leadership.
  • Leader with a passion for data and analytics who can build credibility for the Intelligent Data Management team within the organization.
  • Partner with technology and business units to drive adoption and continue to expand and enhance our data and analytics capabilities across the company.
  • Establish and lead data and analytics governance.  
  • Ensure enterprise data quality and protection of sensitive data.  
  • Create business value by accelerating revenue growth, efficiencies and new business opportunities from analytical insights assets to achieve the strategic and tactical objectives of the company.
  • Lead a community to create and foster accountability and results for data and analytics.
  • Build and support an Enterprise information/data landscape and architecture.
  • Create and manage KPI’s and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage business process and technical teams.
  • Serve as the expert and consultant to the company to increase the knowledge of data architecture and technology solutions.



  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology or related field
  • 10+ years' experience in a senior-level people management role
  • 5+ years' experience in a data management role
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Knowledge of industry leading data quality, analysis and protection management practices
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
  • Knowledge of data architecture and technology solutions
  • Demonstrated experience partnering at all levels of the organization to influence and create new business models, accelerate growth and efficiencies
  • Success implementing information technology, data and organizational capability to enable business outcomes and results.
  • Ability to anticipate changing demands and establish priorities to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design
