How You’ll Make an Impact
As Account Manager - LZA China, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, strategically developing key accounts to achieve profitable and sustainable business growth, working with internal teams to provide valued solutions, generate and deliver value propositions to customers, leverage LZA technology/resources and ‘One Lubrizol’ concept to strengthen Lubrizol’s competitiveness at OEMs via deploying the developed solutions at corresponding channel partner (Oil marketer).
You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:
Daily Activities
- Quick learning and be equipped with updated products and technical knowledge.
- Use company system and tools to generate and update customer profile, demand rolling forecast, customer call reports and opportunity progress.
- Actively collect information of customer dynamic and competitive intel, via multi-level customer engagement
- Dig out and identify customer’s real needs and coordinate internal stakeholders for a tailored solution development
- With strong leadership, work closely with internal stakeholders to jointly present and optimize solutions, prepare quotations and RFQ/tenders, and address key issues like supply shortage and product quality complaint
- Lead and coordinate with internal business units and functions (technology, product management, supply chain, finance etc.) to provide customer-oriented market insight, technical and supply chain services for the customer.
- Create effective tactic action plans, with clear objectives, steps, resources and support needed, risk and barriers etc.
Account management
- Achieve business growth targets
- Build up customer intimacy across multiple level and different functions.
- Build trust and retain sound relationship with key customer contacts
- Deep understand customer organization, profile and strategy, and accordingly build effective customer development plan and reach alignment with internal stakeholders
- Fundamental understanding of business strategy for effective and efficient implementation, integrated with own customer development plan
- Deep dive and understanding of customer needs/pain points, so as to effectively organize company resources and deliver unique value proposition
- Leverage the collaborations on OEM project to strengthen LZ business position at the oil channel partners.
Business Development
- Based on full understanding of OEM approval process, work with LZA PMG and tech team to support our preferred oil channel partners in winning the OEM businesses.
- Demonstrate Lubrizol leadership and influence by communicating and executing the oil marketer plans on OEMs with internal and external stakeholders. Leverage LZ unique relationship at the strategic OEMs to expand Lubrizol’s share at oil marketers.
- Collect competitive intelligence including both commercial and technical perspectives. With ‘One Lubrizol’ mindset to explore business opportunity for all LZ BUs and enhance win-rate of LZ.
Required Qualifications that Enables Your Success
- Graduate in a technical or business-related discipline. Master’s degree in Chem, Chem E, Mech E or MBA Preferred.
- Minimum 5 years relevant business, marketing, and sales experience. Ideally have Automotive and Industrial equipment manufacturers related experience/background.
- Have strong commercial acumen and sales management skills with business focus and customers intimacy orientation
- Strong self-motivator to achieve business goals
- Strong critical and strategic thinking
- Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex situations into understandable plans and project updates
- Open mind and quick learner for new technology/business model/concept as well as global perspective
