As a Process Technology Engineer, you'll help shape the future of sustainable materials by transforming innovative natural and bio-based polymer technologies into commercial reality. In this highly visible role, you won't just improve manufacturing processes; you'll help bring breakthrough technologies from the laboratory to the marketplace. Working at the intersection of research, manufacturing, and business strategy, you'll lead the scale-up of next-generation products that support the growth of Lubrizol's Surface Science portfolio. Partnering with experts across R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial teams, and external manufacturing partners, you'll solve complex technical challenges, influence strategic business decisions, and deliver scalable solutions that create lasting value for customers around the world. In this role, you will:

• Lead new product scale-up activities through structured experimentation, pilot plant trials, and manufacturing authorization processes to ensure successful and safe commercialization.
• Develop and implement scalable manufacturing solutions that improve process reliability, product quality, and operational performance.
• Identify, benchmark, and deploy Most Effective Technologies (MET) that enhance manufacturing capability, asset utilization, and operational excellence.
• Apply Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical analysis, and data-driven problem-solving tools to optimize process performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional business and technical teams to align process technology strategies with growth objectives and customer needs.
• Lead process improvement and capital-related projects, providing clear communication of goals, progress, risks, and results to stakeholders.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve process safety, productivity, quality, sustainability, and cost competitiveness.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• Eight or more years of experience in chemical, specialty materials, polymer, or related manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in experimental design, process development, statistical data analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience supporting new product introductions, scale-up activities, and manufacturing process optimization.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward

• Experience working with functionalized natural polymers, renewable raw materials, or bio-based polymer systems.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
