Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Raw Material Coordinator, Production Coordinator, and Unloaders for Polymer Dispersions department.
    • Develop and train employees, manage performance.
    • Direct and assign work for employees.
    • Be able to perform functions of Raw Material Coordinator & Production Coordinator roles to assist, where needed.
  • Maintain systems and procedures that ensure the following:
    • Inventory levels are accurate.
    • Raw materials inventory levels are controlled.
    • Raw materials are consumed on a first-in-first out (FIFO) basis and scrap raw materials are minimized.
    • Quality of raw materials is assured.
    • Demand signals for both production and raw materials in SAP are accurate and reviewed regularly.
    • Downtime is tracked and categorized.
    • Non-working, slow-moving (NWSM) inventory is tracked, reviewed regularly, and disposed of, or consumed, in a timely manner.
    • Demurrage costs are minimized.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain Planner and Operations to ensure the production schedule for B437, B461, & B421 aligns with customer & business needs (horizon 14 – 30 days).
  • Complete SAP transactions relating to production, purchasing, shipping, and inventory.
  • Assist with monthly cycle counts for raw materials and products. Work with plant accountant to investigate and correct any issues uncovered as a result.
  • Report the following monthly:
    • Unscheduled time for each reactor system
    • Production volumes for each department
  • Manage NWSM to drive towards continual reduction.
  • Manage all records pertaining to raw material procurement, finished goods production, and shipping in accordance with ISO9001, EFfCI, and NSF regulations, where applicable. Ensure compliance to all procedures pertaining to these quality standards, where applicable.
  • Manage Master Data & recipe information for all finished goods and raw materials.
  • Assist with investigations for quality of service (QS) complaints.
  • Coordinate production with a 3rd Party Manufacturer (3PM) to meet customer demand.
  • Participate in implementation and sustainment of continual improvement tools (5S, Managing Daily Improvement, etc.)
  • Develop training tools & procedures for department pertaining to logistics tasks

 

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering from an accredited university. 
  • 3+ years of experience in a Supply Chain or Logistics role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate to all levels of organization – including operators, supervisors, engineers, managers, and corporate personnel.
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office, experience with MRP/ERP Software (Ex.: SAP)
  • Good planning, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity
  • Comfortable in a production plant environment.

 

Considered a Plus:

  • Advanced degree
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO, cGMP, etc.)
