As an Account Manager, you will represent and grow Lubrizol’s Medical Device Contract Manufacturing services on the West Coast.  These services include development and production of precision thermoplastic and silicone components to fully finished, packaged, sterilized and ready-for-use FDA Class III permanent implant devices. 

 

What You’ll Do:

Work in a team environment both owning and supporting accounts while being accountable for driving sustainable top line revenue and profitable growth by:

  • Execute strategies to serve and grow current business, gain competitive market share, and develop new opportunities
  • Identify, develop and penetrate new customers for growth of region
  • Develop meaningful relationships within accounts to foster a partner relationship and gain access to new opportunities
  • Be the voice of the customer with internal operations and business to ensure superior customer experience
  • Negotiate commercial points in supply agreements
  • Communicate our value proposition and offerings to the customer to gain additional opportunities
  • Coordinate resources within Lubrizol Medical Device marketing, engineering and operational organizations to ensure best-in-class fulfillment of customers’ needs and completion of customer projects
  • Understand market trends, customers’ strategies, customer business drivers and competitive landscape to better increase Lubrizol’s competitiveness
  • High quality, consistent and timely CRM reporting per established guidelines and assigned KPI’s (Engineer L&L’s, Sales activities, Project deals, Specifications, and trainings)
  • Regularly use CRM to document new and update existing contacts, opportunities and project of status
  • Collaborate with customer on providing monthly sales forecasts for top customers in region
  • Deliver customer quotations and collaborate with pricing team as needed to ensure maximum margin and benefit to Lubrizol, including communications of price increases
  • Develop a thorough understanding of technology, capabilities, applications and requirements of each of our manufacturing competencies
  • Create a regular cadence for in-person customer visits/meetings
  • Attend/present at sales meetings, conferences, tradeshows or other meetings as needed

 What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university – Business or Technical
  • 15+ years of professional experience selling into the medical device industry, preferably in minimally invasive devices (experience in contract design, development and manufacturing space preferred).  
  • Ability to travel domestically (30%+)
  • Candidate must reside in San Francisco/Bay Area, CA
