Summary of the Role:
To grow LLS Beauty, Home and Pharma business in North and West Africa by maintaining & developing business and relationships with key accounts and distributors in region.
Countries: Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Ghana, Senegal, Togo, Ivory Coast, Nigeria.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Deliver budgeted sales growth for the territory for Beauty, Home and Pharma segment.
- Identify new business opportunities and build opportunity pipeline to deliver business growth.
- Distributor management - manage and support distributor teams in the region to deliver business targets.
- Grow Lubrizol business with focus on global / regional key accounts, protecting the core business.
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise for promotion of functional and actives product portfolio and Beauty, Home & Pharma formulation understanding to analyze customer need gaps and collaborate for solutions.
- Develop business relationships with designated accounts across functions and strengthen partnerships.
- Gain understanding on Key customer strategies and customer needs to offer suitable solutions by aligning with Lubrizol strategies and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders. Develop, implement and communicate Key account plans on periodic basis.
- Identify and explore new business development opportunities by working closely with R&D, commercial and marketing teams at designated accounts.
- Understand and develop deep knowledge of the region.
- Collaborate and effectively communicate with internal teams of marketing, technical and supply chain to achieve company objectives.
- Budget and forecast accurately to assist the supply chain team to manage inventory and ensure timely delivery to customers
- Effectively use various Sales Management Tools including CRM, pricing and market research.
Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):
Education / Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng/ B.Sc/ B.Tech/ BPharm) in chemical, cosmetics or related science.
- Proficiency in both French and English (written and verbal).
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years B2B sales experience in Beauty, Home or Pharma.
- Established relationships with customers in West and/ or North Africa.
- Strong knowledge of Beauty, Home and Pharma markets.
- Technical/ chemical background to support Beauty, Home & Pharma markets.
- Track record of delivering market growth in the region.
- Willing and able to travel frequently. This is a customer facing role.
- Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong drive for results.
- Demonstrated success in implementing new products, solutions, technology and value selling programs.
- Positive, “can-do” attitude, self-motivated and proactive.
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
- Adaptable and resilient in changing environments.
