We are currently looking for an E&I Maintenance & Project Engineer (m/f/x) for our location in Oevel.

What you will do

As a Maintenance & Project engineer (disciplines instrumentation, electrical and automation) you are responsible for optimizing the reliability of installations on the one hand and for managing projects to improve safety and cost performance on the other. In addition, when eliminating defects or recommending adjustments, you always comply with the Lubrizol safety rules and cultural values.

Your main responsibilities

• You take the lead in several E&I and automation projects and are responsible for the safety, planning and cost of the projects.

• You have frequent contacts with suppliers of assets and services.

• Both in the engineering and the construction phase of your projects, you optimize your contractor resources to achieve your objectives.

• You perform root cause analyzes to eliminate problems. You are driven to find solutions to avoid breakdowns and reduce downtimes, mainly in the field of automation and E&I.

• You are responsible for the automation maintenance plans and part of the preventive maintenance plans in E&I. You monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of these plans and implement improvements.

• You are responsible for the structure the Delta V programming code and will introduce small Delta V programming improvements. You follow up the major changes and additions in delta V programming.

Who we are looking for.

• You have a master’s degree in engineering.

• You are a technical expert in instrumentation, electrical work, and automation. Knowledge of the Emerson delta V system is an advantage.

• You already have several years of experience with automation and E&I or you are an enthusiastic school-leaver with a strong affinity for this domain.

• You will join a team of engineers and maintenance workers. This allows you to lead projects from A to Z and reporting lines are short. You will be deployed according to your experience and strengths.

• You report to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.

• You are a good communicator and are fluent in Dutch and English.

• You have strong competences to coordinate projects and to motivate, convince and influence others.

• You are an enthusiastic team player and can work independently within broad guidelines.

• You are a technical expert who, through his analytical and innovative mind, sees every problem as a possible solution and improvement opportunity.

• You are responsible and ethical, which is reflected in your quality, safety, and environmental awareness

With more than 160 employees, the Oevel production plant is Lubrizol Advanced Materials' largest plant in Belgium. Two plastics are made here: Estane® thermoplastic polyurethane, and TempRite® chlorinated polyvinyl chloride. These products are distributed in the form of granules or powders from Oevel to our customers all over the world, after which they are processed into a wide range of products: Sports equipment and clothing, sprinkler systems, medical equipment, water pipes, cables and wires, textiles. Several departments are located in the Oevel plant; warehouse, production, maintenance, quality and application labs, marketing, engineering, finance, HR, planning, purchasing, safety, sales, ... in short, on this site you will find colleagues from various backgrounds who work in a larger context of an international American company. The site is located in the industrial area of Oevel next to the E313 motorway and the Albert canal.
