What You'll Do:

As the Global Key Account Manager Specialty Chemicals, you will lead the creation of a collaborative environment between Lubrizol and its global customers to provide winning solutions, grow the market, and increase Lubrizol's market share. Your role will involve defining and shaping new opportunities to meet Lubrizol's growth objectives, influencing the deployment of internal resources, and working with opinion formers to drive market change.

 

Your tasks will include:

  • Develop and manage relationships with global customers and partners in the lubricants and fuels industries to understand their business needs and market appropriate products.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for customer relationships, including board-level interactions.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activities, and relay this information internally to identify product development opportunities and create new value.
  • Lead the development of the global account strategy and planning with the relevant regional account managers and other stakeholders involved.
  • Develop and drive sales and business growth strategies for your key-accounts while achieving sales targets and delivering the business plan to agreed metrics.
  • Negotiate global pricing and maintain framework agreements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely forecasts and project plans and provide sales inputs for the demand planning process.
  • Share market insights and update CRM and other databases as required.

 

 

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional based in the UK with a strong commercial background and technical understanding of specialty chemicals with a focus on the lubricants and fuels markets. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively across different cultures and regions, leveraging knowledge and resources within Lubrizol.

 

Skills That Make a difference

  • 10+ years of significant commercial experience, ideally including sales and non-sales roles and ideally in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Proven ability to work across different cultures and regions.
  • Commercial acumen, integrity, effective communication, collaboration, results-driven mindset, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement approach.
  • Strong technical understanding of specialty chemicals for lubricants and fuels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to absorb complex technical information and articulate value to customers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
  • BSc/BA or higher in a technical or business discipline.
