What Will Be Your Environment:

The Lubrizol Hazelwood is in a beautiful, semi rural location in Derbyshire. Lubrizol Hazelwood is a state of the art Research and Development site.

What You'll Do:

As a Warehouse and Development Operative, you will conduct warehouse and logistics duties, in accordance with good working practicesAdditionally you will be expected to work flexibly across operational and testing teams, in line with business needs and your own development.

What We're Looking For:

In this role you will be expected to work as part of an experienced team to deliver right first time, every time in the following core activities:

  • Applicants will have a good understanding and working knowledge of Health, safety & environment within an operational setting. Successful candidates will be expected to comply with and support HSE and housekeeping best practices
  • Ensure stock control systems are maintained with minimal guidance
  • Complete order picking and labelling to support blending and laboratory processes
  • Complete goods receipt duties and support dispatch processes
  • Respond to customer requests in a prompt and professional manner
  • Flexible approach to learning skills which support other operational and testing areas.
  • Weekend overtime to maintain key processes during busy periods or as holiday cover (Optional)

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Good understanding of Health and Safety in an operational environment
  • Proven PC skills, working knowledge of systems such as SAP would be advantageous.  Training will be given. A good understanding of Microsoft Systems is essential.
  • The ability to manage own workload and maintain attention to detail
  • The ability to handle stock containers that can weigh up to 30kg, and operate manual handling equipment for containers weighing more than 30kg.
  • Fork Lift Truck license would be advantageous but not essential as training can be provided
  • Material dispensing experience would be beneficial as the role involves weighing chemicals to a high level of accuracy.

Training will be provided for all aspects of this role.

   
The successful applicant will be dealing with the dispatch of materials. In line with government regulations, you are required to provide your past 5 year career history and consent to us carrying out a career history and DBS check.
