What Will Be Your Environment:

 

With about 50 employees at site in Hamburg Billstedt, we are producing specialty additives and packages for the formulation of coolants and industrial lubricants. You will be part of the Operations team and report directly to the Plant Manager.

 

What You'll Do: 

 

As Production Lead (m/f/d) for our production site in Hamburg, you will provide overall leadership to a production team of 15 employees by managing the production department and ensuring that raw materials are safely turned into finished products and intermediates on-time, in-spec, in-full and in compliance with local and corporate regulations and standards. You will lead and develop the production organization and production team members to achieve company objectives and ensure future success. Foster a culture of commitment and safety excellence will be your aim.

 

What We're Looking For:

 

  • Manage daily site production and packaging of finished goods including control of operational costs and energy.
  • Engage, empower and develop workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with Lubrizol Safety Standards, quality specifications, legal requirements and environmental standards.
  • Participate in root cause-analysis and problem-solving activities.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments.
  • Manage the Capacity Planning model
  • Coordinate shutdown planning and procedures.
  • Continuously improve technical and organizational abilities.
  • Coordinate production scale-up trials.
  • Monitor and report departmental OPEX spendings.
  • Initiate and support capital projects (CAPEX).


Skills That Make a Difference:

 

  • MSC in mechanical engineering, process engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing experience in chemical industry or similar.
  • People leadership experience is required.
  • Good business acumen and basic knowledge of financial figures and processes.
  • Experience with managing CAPEX process is a plus.
  • Sound understanding of and experience with high-standard QHSE&S processes and requirements.
  • High level of analytical and conceptional skills.
  • Practical experience with Lean/CI/Kaizen tools and processes are an advantage.
  • Fluent English and German (written and spoken) is mandatory
  • Experience with management systems ISO 9001 and 14001 is a plus
