  • To ensure all test fabric orders are completed and prepared for despatch, in accordance with quality protocols and standards; and in accordance with the customer’s specified delivery date.
  • To ensure that there is a commitment to the principle of continual quality improvement, with the aim to achieve zero non-compliance of quality standards; developing standards and practices as required, and ensuring staff are trained accordingly.
  • To co-ordinate all activities within the Quality Control Area, to ensure adequate operating levels and resource requirements are maintained at all times to enable production targets to be met.
  • To provide technical support for Warwick Equest developmental studies when the need arises. The role involves the developing action plans, performing performance studies to evaluate any new/prototype materials and preparing internal reports to summarise results.
  • The role reports to the Assistant Production Manager.




  • Responsible for the management of the staff in the QC area (day to day supervision)
  • Responsible for the prioritising of work, and to allocate tasks accordingly
  • Responsible for ensuring all completed orders are quality inspected and defective products are rejected.
  • Responsible for ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Responsible for stock control and ordering of consumables used in the QC area
  • Responsible for coordination of the QC department in conjunction with production requirements
  • Responsible for alerting production management of any issues with completed work and help to investigate any complaints arising
  • Responsible for the monthly stock take
  • Responsible for ensuring any work instructions / methods used in the QC area are documented and kept up to date and current at all times
  • Responsible for developing action plans and performing performance studies to evaluate any new / prototype materials
  • Responsible for preparing internal reports to summarise results
  • Responsible for reporting any defective equipment within the QC area
  • Responsible for training new operatives in the QC area
  • Responsible for following all standard procedures / work instructions at all times.
  • Responsible for following health & safety procedures at all times while working for Warwick Equest Ltd


Ideally, with a background in laundry detergents, and educated to HNC/Degree level Chemistry. A knowledge of colour chemistry and statistical analysis would also be advantageous.
