Key Accountabilities

  • To sell our lubricant and fuel additives and services to the automotive and industrial market
  • Create and manage the annual business plan for customers, approved by Sales management. Metrics will include Gross Profit, Volume, Contribution, Market share
  • Manage forecasts to reduce cost of inventory and improve efficiency of plants
  • Negotiate with customers within Lubrizol approved guidelines (includes pricing)
  • Establish strong relationship with customers to understand their business priorities and needs. Use this knowledge to maximize Lubrizol business
  • Ensure a good understanding of the industry, markets and competitor activity
  • Establish annual sales budget/expenses and manage within approved guidelines. Includes credit management of accounts. May include Technical expense budget for Premier accounts
  • Communication and coordination across internal functions e.g. operations, marketing, legal and finance, and geographically – presenting the customer interests
  • Represent Lubrizol in the market – promoting corporate image


What we are looking for

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry
  • Commercial experience (5-10 years) – Sales experience in lubricants/oil industry. Product management knowledge useful
  • Language skills – Dutch, French and English is essential.
  • Technical knowledge of lubricant and fuel additives, or aptitude to understand technicalities and specifications
  • Strong relationship building skills – internally and externally, at many levels
  • Effective communication skills – Listening, presentation, negotiation
  • Team worker – with sales colleagues and across Lubrizol functions
  • Proven self-sufficiency and drive to achieve
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Proven decision-making skills, with no/minimal input from management
  • Willingness to travel often to fulfill responsibilities
