Summary of Responsibilities:

 

In charge of Import & Export logistics activities for Lubrizol Additive Zhuhai. Monitor and manage logistics vendors operation performance. Ensure Lubrizol logistics import & export operation comply with all applicable company standards and applicable rules & regulations in the country. Drive continuous improvement in safety, service, quality and productivity performance.

 

  • Import & Export daily coordination with Freight maintain, 3PL, Broker and Customs including RM import / FG export for drum / ISO tank, bulk marine import, customs bonded handbook, sample delivery, etc.
  • Import & Export related process documents timely review and update.
  • Ensure all the import & export logistics vendors follow the safety and compliance requirements of Lubrizol.
  • Monitor and manage the 3PL KPI performance, including freight forwarder, customs broker, ISO tank supplier, Marine and Tank Terminal, etc. to ensure their performance align with SLA.
  • Liaise with site planners / schedulers on RM inbound arrangement with operation efficiency and optimize ISO tank demurrage and detention cost.
  • Liaise with site planners / schedulers / Customer service on FG export and ensure meet the customers’ requirements.
  • Sample import and export operation by following proper process.  
  • Support site logistics supervisor on internal / external audit, operation procedure documentation and other events.
  • Maintain an operation contact window with local government authorities, such as Customs, Marine Safety Administration etc.
  • Good mindset on continuous improvement to drive safety, service, quality and productivity performance. Explore opportunity of cost saving during daily logistics activities.

 

COMMUNICATION / CONTACTS:

 

Internal:  Production Planning / Scheduling, Customer Service, Logistics Purchasing, Manufacturing, Site HSE.

 

External:  3PL vendors, customers, government authorities, MSA, Customs.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge, technical/professional skill:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • A min 3 years of hands-on Import & Export logistics experience, chemical industry is preferred.
  • Familiar with AEO requirements, Customs declaration system, Customs bonded handbook handling and management.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset is required.
  • A good command of communication and influencing skill.
  • Good oral and written English.
  • Data analysis and Presentation skills.
