  • Managing the plant emergency response system, and ensures its effectiveness.
  • Involving the fire protection for the plant and working with neighboring companies, communities, and local authorities to protect people, company, and community in any emergency.
  • Guide the plant Emergency Response Teams to maintain a well-trained response organization to protect Lubrizol personnel and property.
  • Coordinate and maintain the functionality of the plant Fire Protection systems, such as firefighting system, plant radio, paging and fire alarm systems.
  • Lead the annual review of existing emergency response plans and procedures. Update emergency response plans and procedures as appropriate.
  • Develop emergency response plans and/or procedures for new activities or facilities.
  • Lead emergency response exercise/drill design and execution, including for each shift crew of ERT and file all drill records.
  • Design, guide, and support emergency response training and ensure the training records are maintained with supporting from other team member.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for security management.
  • Ensure LZA Zhuhai office security management meet requirement.
  • Chemical introduction management.
  • Precursor chemical and chemicals to produce explosive management.



  • Coordinate plant-wide emergency action plans to ensure efficient and effective shelter-in-place, evacuation and accountability of personnel.
  • Manage and maintain the emergency response facilities and equipment in ECC center.
  • Be the contact for FM Global and keep the communication on the fire-fighting requirements.
  • Liaison with government response agencies.
  • Lead security event investigation to identify root cause, ensure corrective actions taken.
  • Provides coaching and training to site security staff.
  • Monitor new regulations’ requirements, and ensure compliance of the plant emergency response system.
  • Network with other companies and organizations and introduce good practices and lessons learned.



  • Education Background:
  • Bachelor Chemical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills:
  • The ability to step in and command during an emergency situation is a necessity.
  • Prior supervisory, plant experience and emergency response skills are required for this position.
  • Effective training and communication skill are strongly needed.
  • Experiences of firefighting management in a chemical plant environment are preferable.
  • Other Experiences Preferred:
  • At least 7 years industrial post graduate experience and 3 years of that being in a major hazards petrochemicals plant.
  • Experience at a supervisory level on oil/gas or chemical plant would be an advantage.
  • Extensive of applicable national and local regulations.
  • Language Skills: Good communication skills in Mandarin and English.
