The technology Assist Process Engineer’s Accountabilities statement:

  • Responsible to maintain the integrity of P&ID and related Technology documents in a logical and well-structure manner.
  • Support process engineers on MOC/Project designing process, and backup technology support for Utility Unit, commitment to HSES excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Demonstrate a high commitment to safety.
  2. Maintain company P&ID standards, procedures, and best practice, ensure P&ID following related codes and standards.
  3. Meeting with project managers, designers, operators, and engineers to discuss design ideas., support engineers on MOC/Project designing process.
  4. Perform site walk downs to gather as-built data, locate tie-ins and measure dimensions for new designs and current system.
  5. Develop P&ID from verbal or written description using AutoCAD software.
  6. Update and modify P&ID with mark-up changes from:
  •  Field check and Projects
  • Modifications based on construction improvements and adaptations

Present draft version drawings for approval as needed.

  1. Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawing, plot files and instrument/equipment list in a logical and well-structured manner.
  2. Assist with on-site commissioning and start-up activities, provide P&ID trainings to operation team as needed.
  3. Technology support for Utility unit as needed.
  4. Other task assigned by Technology Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

  1. Good team player.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in chemical, mechanical or related engineering majors;
  3. Familiar with P&ID and capable of providing inputs with regard to piping, equipment, valves, specialty items, tagging, connections, etc.
  4. Experience with pipelines and chemical/petroleum production facilities.
  5. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Be able to read and write in English.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  7. Understanding of piping codes and industry standards (ASME, GB codes, etc.) is a plus
  8. AutoCAD skill is a plus.
