<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Under the direction of the Maintenance & Engineering Manager the Planner & Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance work for the Maintenance group. As the planner, this individual will develop job plans for all work order notifications.  As the scheduler this individual will act as a liaison between Manufacturing and Maintenance to schedule and coordinate all planned maintenance work. 

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This role does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities; however, it is a highly visible role and leadership qualities are required in guiding the technicians and outside contractors in policy, procedures and standards.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Process work notifications evaluating for detail and priority accuracy
    • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Identify resources needed to complete a work order including manpower, parts and tools
    • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Identify any safety hazards or precautions needed to complete the work
    • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Purchase any tools and parts as needed
    • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Work with operations to schedule the work
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Create the Daily and Weekly Maintenance Work Schedule
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Prepare shut down work
    • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develop detailed task lists and materials for shutdowns
    • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Work with operations to develop shut down schedules
    • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ensure all resources needed for shutdowns are on site and available in time
    • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Review shut down work and modify task lists/procedures as necessary
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Close out completed work orders in a timely manner
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Keep the equipment ERP system accurate and up to date including required parts and preventative maintenance needs
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Keep storeroom stocked with correct amount of parts, materials and tools

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Technical Requirements:

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong maintenance background working in a mechanical or electrical maintenance role
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Good communication skills across all levels of the organization and outside vendors and contractors
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Be able to plan, organize, and manage multiple objectives and deadlines simultaneously
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products and SAP or a similar ERP system

 

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Additional education such as a 2 year Technical degree is a plus.

 

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Physical Requirements:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Time Factors/Weight Factors: Occasional—over 15% up to 40% of the time / Light 5# to 25#

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Vision correctable to 20/20.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Climbing stairs and ladders
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Hearing correctable to unamplified human voice.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Manual dexterity: excellent
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to complete and deliver oral/written reports.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to meet safety, regulatory, and health guidelines without assistance.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to work from heights.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Continuous mental/visual concentration.
