Responsible for the following electrical equipment:
•    High Voltage systems: incoming power service (12.47 kV), transformers, generators. Work can be outsourced as necessary.   
•    Electrical circuits from 24VDC to 480VAC 3-Phase: From control circuits to lighting circuits to motor circuits.
•    Control systems: PLC’s and other various independent controllers.
•    Instrumentation: thermocouples, pressure sensors, level sensor, flow meters, switches, transmitters, valves and actuators.

Responsible for the following duties to be performed on the equipment:
•    Maintenance of existing equipment:
    Respond to emergency work order requests from manufacturing to address electrical equipment issues, ranging from power equipment to instruments and controls equipment. Troubleshoot and implement corrective action safely and efficiently.
    Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, instruments and controls to increase the reliability of the manufacturing operation.
•    Installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
    Support electrical equipment installation during capital projects to increase manufacturing capabilities.
    Coordinate electrical work during capital jobs with other crafts operating in the same area, internally and externally.
    Ensuring the proper documentation and procedures have been established, including PM frequency, calibration Standard Operating Procedure, maintenance SOP and operation SOP.

Responsible for contributing to the continuous improvement of the Electrical Safety Program
•    Assist in developing and improving internal standards regarding electrical installation, maintenance, and safety.
•    Assist in teaching other internal personnel on these standards and skillset.
•    Assist in evaluating outside resources regarding their quality o•    

 

Minimum 3 years’ experience with diploma from accredited Technical School or military electrical/electronic training or a minimum 6 years field experience in manufacturing environment without a degree
•    Working knowledge of process instrumentation, motors, electrical circuits and electrical distribution
•    Ability to interpret schematic drawings of pneumatic loops, hardware relay logic diagrams, PLC control programs, motor control circuit diagrams, etc.  
•    Ability to associate circuit symbols with actual components to include solid state electronics (transistors, integrated chips, resistors, capacitors, etc.) and common industrial electrical hardware (relays, contactors, starters, etc.).  
•    Have good mathematical skills for calculation of electrical/electronic equations 
•    Ability to install electrical conduit of the various trade size (pvc, emt, rigid) and install instrumentation tubing.
•    Demonstration of excellent troubleshooting skills and continuous improvement mindset.
•    Possess the following cognitive skills: perception, memory, judgment, reasoning, disseminating, discerning and troubleshooting/problem-solving.  
•    Utilizes data to make decisions.
•    Use of computers and all usual office equipment with a working knowledge of Office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
