We currently have an opportunity for a Technology Manager within Commercial Engine Lubricants Technology team. In this role, you’ll support Product Integrity related activities within the Transportation Business specifically around Engine Oils.  The Technology Manager will also be responsible for collaborating with other factions within Lubrizol including Operations, Research & Development, and Testing by providing component and product approvals in representation of the Engine Lubricants division.  The role requires technical project management and critical thinking along with great communication and interpersonal skills. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and approvals for components and additive packages 
  • Leads Product Integrity related activities by interacting effectively with Operations, R&D, Testing, and Commercial/Sales partners 
  • Collaborates with platform developers to ensure product robustness via Lubrizol internal quality control processes
  • Champions the initiation and implementation of Product Integrity and efficiency related initiatives      
  • Manages a diverse portfolio of tactical and strategic projects 
  • Nurtures and maintains collaborative relationships with other parts of the organization to deliver business objectives while ensuring Pan Lubrizol Additive alignments

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • General knowledge in additive components and their interactions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently develop solutions based on facts, data, and logical assumptions
  • Ability to work effectively in multifunctional and global teams
  • Ability to prioritize/deprioritize projects and balance between short-term needs vs. long-term objectives
  • Self-driven with strong interpersonal and communication skills

 

Considered a plus

  • Advanced degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • Experience in Product Integrity, additive components, additive packages, and fully formulated lubricants & related activities
  • Experience working with Commercial & Sales teams
