Lubrizol is looking for a Human Resources Manager that will be responsible for providing Human Resource leadership across multiple divisions and their leadership teams at our Brecksville, OH and Wickliffe, OH sites. This position provides HR program and strategy execution across a full spectrum of Human Resources services to support operations and business initiatives.


Your essential functions will include:

  • Working with the North America HR team, support the sites to execute HR strategies and initiatives, including but not limited to onboarding, employee hire to retire lifecycle, talent acquisition, training and development, employee engagement, Diversity and Inclusion, strategic workforce planning and other site-specific HR work that is critical to provide effective support
  • Creating and administering Human Resource policies and procedures; conducting investigations, providing counsel and advice to employees and managers on Human Resource polices/practices/procedures
  • Managing day-to-day employee relations activities 
  • Communicating and implementing corporate and regional Human Resource initiatives
  • Promoting and maintaining a positive and respectful working environment
  • Possessing a continuous improvement mindset; recommending and implementing process improvements
  • Possessing and modeling the organization’s cultural beliefs reflecting a strong emphasis on accountability and measurement of results
  • Providing and analyzing HR data to support recommendations for change
  • Supporting and managing HR systems to ensure legal compliance
  • Leading and completing other miscellaneous projects as necessary


Required Skills / Experience:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or other related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in an HR partner role with a broad understanding of core HR processes within HR technology and systems, talent management and total rewards
  • Experience collaborating with a team of HR professionals and varying levels of leadership
  • Coaching, influencing and making sound judgment calls
  • Critical-thinking skills with the ability to think strategically and execute on ideas
  • Solid negotiating and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough decision-making capability
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office and a Human Capital Management system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
