Role Accountability

The SAP PI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, or adopting SAP PI technology to meet Lubrizol’s requirements.  Most often the requirements will surround B2B integrations with customers, suppliers, and third-party solution providers.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Developing technical solutions for our business customers, including requirements gathering, coding, implementation, and support.
  • Provides advice and counsel to business users and IT project teams regarding PI, EDI, FTP, and integration.
  • Provides support such as troubleshooting application shortcomings and/or performance issues.
  • Adhere to and recommend development standards, naming conventions and industry best practices.
  • Stays knowledgeable of SAP offerings - including SAP Process Orchestration, S/4HANA, SOAP, REST, etc.
  • Provide global coverage to our B2B, EDI, and FTP solutions by monitoring and supporting message delivery and receipt, connection failures, and system generated error emails.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years working with SAP NetWeaver and Process Integration
  • Must be proficient with development, deployment, and support of PI solutions
  • Experience with PI adapters and/or protocols including: HTTP, AS2, FTP, REST, Proxy, RFC, IDOC, SOAP, File, Mail, and Web Services
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Services Repository (ESR), Integration Directory (ID), System Landscape (SL), Configuration and Monitoring (CM), Alert and Notification Management
  • Experience with data translation and transformation via XSLT, SAP graphical, Java mapping and the custom adapter modules

 

 

  • Understanding of XML, Schemas, and ANSI X12 EDI
  • Experience with flat file FTP solutions
  • Comfortable with working on a global team with colleagues around the world

 

Work Environment

  • This is a US based position
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Work hours should fall between 7 AM – 7 PM, Monday through Friday
