This position reports to the Wickliffe Engineering Services Manager and will be responsible for mechanical, automation and process-related projects throughout the site with goals to improve productivity, capability and safety.  This person will be responsible to help implement the capital plan of the areas that they are assigned to support.  


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participates on project teams to prepare and submit requests for capital including detailed scopes, cost estimates and all other required documents
  • Performs detailed engineering and/or project management as required to meet the technical and budget needs of assigned projects.
  • Project management work includes preparation of schedules, setting up projects in SAP, preparing purchase requisitions, and periodic reports
  • Oversees drawings, makes process calculations to size required equipment, prepares equipment specifications for quotes, selects equipment for purchase
  • Coordinates installation with maintenance resources and supervises contractors to install process equipment and systems
  • Acts as the project leader for a moderate project workload, with responsibility for meeting the technical objectives of the project within the assigned budget, project reporting, and project closure
  • Provides technical assistance to the operating and maintenance areas assigned as requested
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the codes and standards that apply to engineering discipline, including the National Electric Code, OSHA standards, NFPA Codes, and Ohio Building and Mechanical Code


Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other related engineering discipline
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience designing and specifying mechanical, automation, and/or process equipment for industrial use
  • Project management experience, with an established track record of successful projects.  Project management experience must be in engineering or construction.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical processes; define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions


Considered a Plus

  • Successful completion of Engineer in Training (EIT/FE) Exam highly preferred
  • Advanced Engineering Degree
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Ability to lead and support Process Hazard Analyses (PHA)
  • SAP Experience
  • Building Automation systems integration
  • Distributed Control Systems experience, such as Delta V
  • Chemical industry experience


Working Conditions

  • Lifting to head up to 10 pounds; lifting to waist up to 25 pounds
  • Requires close, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception
  • Work is performed within a controlled environment; noise levels in some areas require hearing protection
