The Product Manager, Driveline Additives assures the adequacy of the product offering to achieve the company's business results through continuing innovation and optimization of the product portfolio.

 

Key Job Accountabilities

 

  • Develop, and implement both long-term and short-term market strategies to ensure aggressive growth and success of the product line.
  • Provide tactical product support to target customers and external OEM's (Original Equipment Manafucturer)  with product and services related issues
  • Conduct training to sales and local distributors advocating product offering. Ensure internal and external customers quality and delivery requirements are supported. Responsible for the product representation (integrity) to the customers and the market.    
  • Provide sales channels with information on new product initiatives, product mix, and product line simplification activities relevant to target customers and markets.
  • Ensures that products within the portfolio are effectively positioned (good, better, best) to deliver customer value and maximize profitability.  Demonstrates leadership and influence by communicating and executing the product portfolio strategy with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales to develop and present Lubrizol’s Products & Services Value Propositions to customers
  • Provide support and coordination for internal projects to assist with commercial launch activities. Support Product Management in the development and support of products utilizing internal systems and processes. 
  • Identify and evaluate market opportunities to be able to enter new and growing markets/applications
  • Support development of yearly operating plan and budgets for the business group

 

Basic Qualifications

 

  • Graduate in a technical or business-related discipline.
  • Experience in marketing, sales, project management, customer service or market facing technical services role. Ideally, practical experience in product management or marketing in the B-B channel or B-C channel.                                                                                                                                 
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with both internal and external audiences with the ability to build relationships and effectively implement.
  • Skilled at market mapping, market analysis and product line profitability analysis.
  • A creative thinker as it relates to analysis and product positioning. 
  • A strategic thinker, effective planner that can develop and manage execution of their product line development and promotion plans across the organization, across small and large customers
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization and business team environment.
  • Travel up to 30%

- Minimum 2 years relevant experience

- Undergrad degree in Chem, Chem E, Mech E or Business Preferred
