Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and implementing the global oilfield, refinery, and water treatment business plan in geographic markets outside of North America. The candidate will also have global Product Line Manager responsibilities for the Water and Refinery (WR) market segment. Accountabilities associated with this role include; defining growth opportunities, optimizing product mix, supplying a business justification for new product development, selecting customers targeted for growth and prioritizing resources to maximize our ROI. The candidate will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to maximize Lubrizol's commercial success for the defined regions and market segment. The candidate will also coordinate pricing strategies with Global Business Manager and Sales Manager to maximize profitability while achieving the appropriate price consistency with multinational customers.

 Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and implement global business strategy for the WR market segment and the designated geographic regions
  • Identify market opportunities and define our value proposition delivered through products and services
  • Identify resource requirements required to maximize growth
  • Provide input to strategic product planning through PDACE (global product management lifecycle) best practices and initiatives
  • Work closely with Sales to gain market knowledge and deploy strategies
  • Understand customer and competitor’s value propositions, strengths, weaknesses and identify threats to Lubrizol’s market position
  • Will collaborate cross functionally and globally, developing strong and open relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Travel opportunities as needed

Skills & Expertise Required

  • Oil and gas market expertise and previous oilfield and/or refinery industry experience
  • BSc/BA or equivalent in a technical or scientific or strategic marketing discipline is essential
  • Effective sales, product management, and/or business development skills
  • Experience working with customers on both short-term technical service projects and complex longer-term approval programs
