Job Mission

 

This position supervises a team of individuals in support of the Global Procurement Organization. The project team is responsible for a diverse portfolio of activities including identifying opportunities for improving and standardizing procurement processes, managing cross functional process improvement projects, routine reporting to internal customers, data mining in SAP and BOBJ, resolution of invoicing issues, and general administration of SAP records.  This position reports to the Procurement Director of Process Improvements.

 

Key Job Accountabilities

 

  • Supervise a team comprised of project managers, project analysts, purchasing associates, and undergraduate interns - team members are located at Brecksville, OH and Wickliffe, OH sites.
  • Build collaborative relationships with Global Supply Chain organization and other internal customers
  • Identify opportunities for improving cross-functional processes which will result in cost savings, faster response, better communication and/or increased accuracy.
  • Manage projects including leadership of cross functional teams
  • Manage contract rebates in compliance with SOX requirements
  • Create monthly global raw material forecast and communicate trends to key stakeholders
  • Extract data from enterprise systems in support of process improvement efforts
  • Support the key procurement functions of Raw Materials; Custom Manufacturing; and Equipment, Supplies & Services with market research, data analysis, bid packages, and e-sourcing
  • Train and coach team members, including Performance and Career Management
  • Administer salary program for team members
  • Annual cost center budgeting and management of expenses
  • Occasional business travel to Brecksville and/or other plant sites

     

    Basic Qualifications

     

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of (5) five years' procurement experience
  • Minimum of (2) years' supervisory experience
  • Desire and ability to recruit, coach and develop new talent for the organization
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with key internal stakeholders including Global Supply Chain, Business Segments, Operations, Finance, and Legal
  • Ability to analyze and understand cross-functional processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Ability to standardize business processes and procedures and implement change.
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems with ability to mine data from SAP and BOBJ and identify trends
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated project management skills - defining scope, developing a plan and timely execution
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, competing projects within resource constraints
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Self starter, team oriented
  • Ability to travel as business requires
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, advanced Excel skills
