Job Summary:

The Plant Services Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the maintenance groups in Plant Services are executing maintenance work safely, efficiently and in accordance with state, local and corporate requirements. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and direction to employees while leading and coaching the supervisors in the Plant Services groups. The Maintenance Manager will drive continuous improvement efforts to maximize efficiency of execution.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maintenance groups are performing work safely; be visible in the field and have daily interaction with technicians and mechanics as part of Leading Indicators program
  • Ensure employees have necessary equipment, PPE, and tools to perform tasks safely
  • Ensure employees have adequate training to perform work safely and efficiently
  • Ensure maintenance groups are knowledgeable, trained and follow the Life-Saving Cardinal Rules
  • Focus on continued preventive maintenance optimization
  • Focus on continued and improved predictive maintenance activities/program
  • Develop and manage the reliability and mechanical integrity program in accordance with corporate PAM requirements
  • Ensure company, site and department goals are met
  • Utilize and promote the performance and career management process
  • Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to supervisors as well as indirect reports with a special focus on career development
  • Manage budgets for the maintenance, utilities, and R&D operating cost centers
  • Manage and drive the continuous improvement program
  • Promote collaborative interaction between maintenance and engineering organizations
  • Utilize SAP for maintenance analysis


Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 5+ years supervisory experience in the construction and/or maintenance field
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to lead a multi-dimensional team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Considered a Plus:

  • Maintenance experience
  • Advanced degree
  • SAP / S4 Hana
  • Lean Certification.


Working Conditions:

  • Wear appropriate PPE
  • Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment.
  • Must be willing/able to be exposed to inclement weather while moving throughout the plant during the workday as required.
