Lubrizol Human Resources is transitioning from a multi-year HR Transformation to a state of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.  Led by the VP, Global HR Operations, the HR Operational Excellence team will evolve the design work for our structure, processes, and technology roadmap to implement enhancements and continuous improvements for a world-class HR. 


As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for shaping, implementing, and continuously refining the delivery of positive employee experiences in partnership with the HR Operating Model.  This position will work with key stakeholders across the global HR organization and throughout Lubrizol as we enhance our service delivery. This position will ideally be based at our Global Headquarters in Wickliffe, OH, following a hybrid working model. 


What you will do:

  • Partner, coordinate and synchronize efforts across the HR Operating Model (Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, and HR Business Partners) to ensure HR programs and services are deployed in a global, integrated, and standard way
  • Partner with the Global Leveraged Services lead to support the implementation of global HR Leveraged Services
  • Analyze data, gather feedback from the organization, and engage stakeholders to drive improved process and HR service delivery performance
  • Drive process transformation through identifying, prioritizing, and implementing improvement opportunities to align with the HR strategic roadmap.  Partner with HR Technology team on enhancements to our HR portal (services & knowledge) and drive opportunities for automation
  • Establish strong standards for ongoing training and documentation for all processes and work activities
  • Adapt and implement project management methodologies and tools to design and deliver key HR processes, coordinate various workstreams and ensure projects are rolled out in a timely, well-coordinated and high-impact manner
  • Lead HR projects and continuous process improvement efforts to improve employee experience and ensure compliance, sustainability and control of improvements implemented
  • Collaborate with the Workforce Analytics teams to create reports / metrics / dashboards that are meaningful and measure performance against volumes, employee satisfaction & quality
  • Maintain governance over process documentation
  • Other projects as assigned


What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business-related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an HR generalist or specialist capacity with a broad understanding of core HR processes within HRIS, talent management, total rewards, and HR partnering
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office and Human Capital Management system
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong project management skills and tools
  • Experience in change management


What will put you ahead: 

  • Prior experience with an HR Transformation and/or in HR Operations/Shared Services supporting all aspects of the employee life cycle 
  • Experience with a knowledge and case portal (such as ServiceNow) 
  • Experience with Lean or other process improvement methodologies
