Position Accountabilities:

Manage the global real estate portfolio to support current and future business needs while proactively minimizing costs. Coordinate, track and report on the diligence and integration activities associated with M&A transactions to ensure appropriate governance, collaboration and benefit delivery is achieved. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor all leased property obligations; liason with our 3rd party property management service provider to execute renewals, changes, property reviews, or other needed actions.

  • Provide strategic input on Lubrizol’s real estate portfolio.  Help to identify opportunities for synergies, cost savings, diversitures, or expansions.

  • Peform all necessary financial analysis regarding key strategic decisions concerning Lubrizol’s real estate portfolio.

  • Support Lubrizol’s databases for managing property (i.e. Power BI, PEGA); ensure our 3rd party service providers information is current and accurate.

  • Facilitate negotiation of certain real estate transactions with third parties and coordinate with Lubrizol’s legal division and M&A lead where necessary.

  • Coordinate the diligence process on assigned M&A projects with external and internal groups;  ensure team resources are focused on appropriate tasks and the pace of diligence is in line with required deal timing.  Ensure the teams are coordinated and required communication is taking place; ensure cross functional tasks are organized. 

  • Coordinate the integration of assigned M&A projects; ensure all functional, operations and commercial teams are engaged.  Thoroughly understand terms and agreements from the SPA that impact integration timing and transition services.  Coordinate team meetings and communicate progress, issues and opportunities.

  • Track and report on M&A project synergies and benefits and how they compare to the valuation model.  Assist the team in identifying areas of opportunities and concern early in order to deliver on agreed upon commitments.

  • Responsible for daily management of diligence and integration activities; manage the process and look for opportunities for continuous improvement 

Skills, Qualifications, Experience:                            

  • 10+ years’ in accounting and/or varied financial/analytical accounting positions or strong financial acumen and experience.

  • Strong leadership and project management skills

  • Ability to persuade and influence

  • Proven self-starter with a desire to achieve; strong team focus.

  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Ability to work with a broad range of internal customers ranging from senior leadership, commercial leaders, operations leaders and others.

  • This role is based out of our Wickliffe facility but with flex opportunity to work from the Brecksville campus and a home office.


Considered A Plus:                            

  • Experience is a variety of functions/disciplines

  • Prior M&A experience

  • Proficiency in SAP, SharePoint, Power BI, and Micrsoft Excel and Power Point.


Working Conditions/Travel Required:                               

  • Minimal travel required, i.e. 10% or less.
