The Enterprise Resource Planning Technologist - SAP Transportation Management [TM] and Logistics Services is a member of the Order to Cash (OTC) Process Services Support Team and is responsible for delivery and support of SAP TM and Logistics services.  This role is responsible for executing the technical analysis, evaluation, development, testing, implementation and support of the TM and Logistics software applications within Lubrizol.  The position requires a comprehensive knowledge and proven experience with the configuration, development, and implementation of TM, as well as possible upgrades and future direction of the software. This role is recognized as the TM technical expert within the department.  Additional responsibility includes day-to-day operational and functional support.  

This position can be based anywhere Lubrizol operates, with a hybrid working model.

 

What you will do: 

  • Modify SAP TM application programming (ABAP) code to correct errors, enhance functionality, or improve its performance.
  • Investigate and resolve daily TM and logistics break-fix issues; including communicating and working other OTC support team members, other ABAP technical resources, other SAP process support teams and end users.
  • Act as main technical design and support authority for the TM and Logistics Support Services Team in collaboration with Business stakeholders and leaders.  Ensure the quality of all software changes. A proven ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
  • Work with users and key stakeholders to clearly define business requirements and convert requirements into technical specifications.
  • Author and maintain complete documentation regarding the TM application – including data definitions, configuration design, functional specifications, and interface details.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve TM and Delivery batch job issues.
  • Resolve key TM and Logistics integration points and issues between other SAP process areas to ensure they are properly addressed.
  • Communicate and work with SAP to resolve ERP issues.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with key business stakeholders, Business Process Leaders, the Centers of Excellence, external business partners and end users. 
  • Pursue educational and development opportunities to remain current in new and emerging IS technologies, especially in the TM and Logistics areas.

 

What you need to have:

  • Proven technical experience in working with a wide variety and complexity of TM - planning of all order types (domestic, export, intercompany), all types of ship modes (truck, air, vessel, rail, pipeline), all types of ship conditions/ship types (package, bulk, iso), shipment consolidations, shipment changes, TM Workflow, TM CHACO, freight optimization, scheduling, freight tendering, export booking, charge management, freight settlement and invoicing.
  • Proven experience and a high degree of functional and technical knowledge of the integration and relationship between TM and Logistics Execution (LE) and SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) processes and outputs, Global Trade Compliance (GTS) processes and outputs, Regulatory Safety and Compliance (RSC) processes, Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM) and Production Planning (PP)
  • Operations experience with SAP S/4 HANA v2020
  • 5+ years of supply chain/logistics experience – preferably in the Chemicals or Industrial Manufacturing industries

  • Demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to handle work with a global team 
  • Operations experience with SAP ECC 6.0
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent years of experience
