Driveline Product Manager

Accountability:

As a Product Manager you will be responsible for executing market-based product strategies for defined markets and product lines across our Driveline Business. 

In this role you will:

  • Analyze market trends to develop market insights that generate value for our customers and Lubrizol.
  • Apply market knowledge to help customers develop their business and identify ways to differentiate their offering and win in the market.
  • Establish and manage pricing guidelines for products to meet business profitability objectives based on customer, market, and competitive trends.
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop and implement innovative communication plans. You will help to create, develop and maintain promotional material for defined product lines.
  • Participate in the development and evolution of the business strategy and subsequent implementation.
  • Develop, maintain and present trends presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Understand key components, suppliers and manufacturing processes to support operational excellence across the portfolio.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external industry stakeholders.

Skills, Qualifications, Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or relative experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3 years Product Management experience
  • Business acumen, demonstrated through exceptional financial results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically (20%)

Considered a Plus:
MBA, and related industry qualifications

  • Automotive OEM or related lubricant industry experience

What does success look like?

  • To be successful you will need to be commercially astute and possess the intellectual capability to turn complex technical information into viable commercial solutions.
  • We are looking for a talented individual with previous experience in a commercial role, ideally in product line management, and an understanding of commercial and marketing skills such as product positioning, strategic and value pricing.
  • You will have a proven track record at building relationships both internally and externally, comfortable to succeed in a matrix organization.
  • You will be a strong relationship builder, experience in assessing markets, developing strategies and understanding and competitors within a global market would be advantageous.
  • A strategic thinker, that can develop and manage execution of their product line and promotion plans across the external customer base.
