Summary of Responsibilities

The Director of Immersion Fluid Solutions will lead the team accountable for building a business in this new adjacency.  Reporting to the Commercial VP of Corporate Ventures, this individual will be a passionate and natural leader with a proven track record of business development experience.  Agile and able to work at an accelerated pace, he or she will be capable of establishing strong relationships externally and internally, developing and executing robust business plans, defining technical and commercial metrics and milestones, identifying needed resources, and leading this new business in immersion fluid solutions from incubation to commercialization.


Essential Job Functions  

  • As the overall leader of the immersion fluid solutions business, this individual will have accountability for the commercial success of this new business as we move from incubation to commercialization.
  • Directly involved in development and execution of both the strategic and tactical plan for this business, including but not limited to customer and partner engagement, product / portfolio positioning, business model design, channel to market partnerships & strategy, and pricing.
  • With P&L responsibility for this business, they will establish clear performance targets and milestones and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement compelling value propositions to accelerate sustainable growth, scale the business, and further build value as we broaden our ecosystem within this marketplace.
  • Participating in this dynamic and emerging market space, this individual will be agile and manage change leadership, process integration, building stakeholder consensus and mobilizing resources to drive results.
  • Build a geographically dispersed business team to achieve successful commercialization.
  • Engage executive leadership to enable critical decisions affecting timing, cost or scope of business needs and resources.
  • Functions as a central resource working with our technology, manufacturing, testing, marketing and supply chain teams as the business moves from incubation into commercialization.
  • Other duties as business grows.


Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in immersion fluids for data centers/telecom or related fields, preferably with chemical industry background.
  • 5+ years’ in commercial development, managing a business with direct reports and P&L responsibility.
  • Bachelors in business, engineering, or chemistry. Advanced degree a plus (MBA, MA or PhD)
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills; a team player who is passionate and creative when it comes to building a new business.
  • Deals effectively with high pressure work situations.
  • Effectively manages ambiguity and is comfortable with uncertainty.
  • Collaborates with peers / others to solve problems and implement solutions.
  • Accurately identifies talent needs to grow a business.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively influence management to invest in new opportunities.
