Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director, Culture & Inclusion, will play a significant role in leading and guiding Lubrizol’s culture, diversity and inclusion efforts.  This is a global role and will be based in Wickliffe, OH, and the individual will be a member of the Global Human Resources Leadership Team.  This role will oversee a team of direct reports who will be responsible for implementing employee engagement, communication, change management, and learning initiatives aligned with the company’s culture, diversity and inclusion strategies and related programs.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities 

  • Partner with senior leadership to identify cultural beliefs that will enable and support our business objectives and develop strategies for aligning the organization with those cultural beliefs.
  • Act as a thought leader and champion for the organization’s culture.
  • Create a vision and roadmap that fosters change, creates dialogue, and builds excitement about our company’s commitment to conscious culture change, diversity and inclusion.
  • Partner with global HR team, communications and business leadership to develop, communicate and implement enterprise-wide diversity and inclusion strategy aligned with company culture, values and behaviors – leveraging our strengths and addressing gaps.
  • Consult with divisions and regions to determine needs and provide guidance for the design of diversity-based solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership, including HR leaders, to implement cultural change, change management, diversity and inclusion best practices with an emphasis on programs that impact employee experience, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, talent management, compensation and benefits, sustainability and innovation.
  • Steward global Business Resources Groups or similar networks, ensuring charters, group leadership and support to drive meaningful employee connections and business impact.
  • Stay abreast of diversity and inclusion trends and best practices. Champion the diversity and inclusion change process in driving best practices, adoption, and compliance across the organization.
  • Drive the metrics, data and trend analytics and create effective dashboards to monitor, track progress and pinpoint areas where focus or action will yield positive progress.
  • Leverage data to provide insights to HR and business leaders so they can build impactful culture, diversity and inclusion plans and actions for their business/function.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and outside organizations to further our diversity efforts.

 

Summary of Experience, Skills and Education:

  • Visionary leader with 8+ years’ experience in transformational change management who demonstrates trust, integrity, accountability and credibility.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to effectively communicate, build teams, and influence across boundaries.
  • Strategic and forward-thinking with strong business acumen and the ability to identify and proactively address impacts and disruptions.
  • Strong planning and implementation experience at scale.
  • Cultural competence with demonstrated ability to understand and adapt to multiple cultural frameworks, values, norms.
  • Critical thinker who seeks new ideas, experiences from both external and internal constituencies.
  • Capability to work both strategically and hands-on to deliver results utilizing project/program management & leadership skills, C-suite presence and credibility, strong judgment, business instincts and high level of professionalism to lead major change and transformation initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
