To support our key business objectives of safety, operational excellence and cybersecurity, Lubrizol’s IS team is establishing a new group which will focus on the cybersecurity and operational excellence of the company’s manufacturing, testing, R&D, and lab facilities. This group will create value by providing leadership and execution in several key areas including but not limited to: installation and support initiatives, risk management and governance, technology architecture, network and technology security, security monitoring and response, third party service provider management, and establishing and maintaining an informed user community that understands its role in supporting an over-arching cybersecurity program. This is an exciting time to join our team and we’re looking for a candidate who has a bias for action, is comfortable in a highly ambiguous environment and who has a demonstrated ability to lead, manage and coach a team.

 

The Cybersecurity – Lab, R&D, and Testing Services Manager has the accountability to develop and lead a newly formed group focused on strengthening cybersecurity capabilities and operational best practices across applied to approximately 35 laboratories, R&D, and product testing facilities located globally. 

 

The position will be a member of the Information Solutions (IS) division and will be based in Wickliffe, Ohio.  The position will report to the Director – OT and Lab Services.  

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Define, promote, and execute a cybersecurity and operational excellence program, the execution of which will be reliant upon a cross-functional team consisting of business resources working with the labs, testing and R&D facilities and internal IS resources.     
  • Engage, develop, and retain a top-tier team of professionals capable of delivering highest quality work; create a vision, sets goals, and define a strategy for achieving established goals and continuously improve the team’s talent position.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a portfolio of work reflective of both near-term support and project efforts and long-term strategic initiatives originating from both the IT organization and the business.  Influence necessary stakeholders to drive the necessary changes.
  • Provide senior-level project management support as needed. 
  • Update and/or prepare and maintain policies, procedures and standards governing the security operations for ICS systems and networks.  Monitor and manage compliance.
  • Conduct and/or participate in strategic business and IS planning and execution of such plans.
  • Work with IT and business stakeholders as necessary to ensure alignment with and execution of larger business initiatives.
  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Formal training or education in cybersecurity, computer science, information services, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of leading cybersecurity practices to address threats, vulnerabilities, exploits and remediation actions necessary to secure a broad range of technologies. 
  • Experience leading a team.

 

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information services, or a related field.  
  • Experience designing, implementing, supporting IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following: ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-53, NIST CSF.
